Introduction

Metal colloids refer to small metal particles with diameters in the range of 1-100 nm. They possess properties that bulk metals do not possess, such as surface effects, volume effects, quantum size effect, macroscopic quantum tunneling effect, etc. This state of matter between molecules and solids can play an important role in many fields. Research and Development

Metal colloids can also be fabricated into multilayer ultrathin films with high electrical conductivity by layer-by-layer self-assembly processes.
