Description

The surfactant stabilized gold nanoparticles of 10 nm we offer are presented in citrate buffer supplemented with a proprietary stabilizing solution for prolonged stability, higher salt tolerance, and temperature stability.

Properties

Our 10 nm surfactant stabilized gold nanoparticle preparations have a tight size distribution (CV <15%), excellent protein adsorption abilities and more than 95% spherical particles. And with low batch-to-batch variability (+/- 2nm), you can trust that you'll always receive a product within the specified size range. In addition, each of our batches undergoes rigorous quality control using dynamic light scattering to ensure size and monodispersity, and lot specifications are provided with every product shipment.

Intended Use

The surfactant stabilized gold nanoparticles can be used to adsorb thiol ligands such as oligonucleotides and polyethylene glycol. In addition, due to the enhanced stability, these gold nanoparticles are well suited for use in physical and optical applications. However, it is important to note that this product is not suitable for protein adsorption. If you need gold nanoparticles suitable for adsorbing proteins and other ligands for conjugate development, please use our standard gold nanoparticles.

Storage

  • Store the product at 4-25 °C away from direct sunlight. Cooler temperatures extend the shelf life of the product.
  • Do not freeze. Freezing causes irreversible aggregation of the gold nanoparticles.
  • The product is stable for at least six months when stored as specified.
