Overview
β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) is one of the most commonly used and effective synthetic bone graft substitutes. Compared with hydroxyapatite (HA), β-TCP is considered to have better biodegradability and can therefore be better absorbed and replaced by newly generated hard tissue.
