As an innovative company, Alfa Chemistry is committed to turning challenges into opportunities and bringing more value to customers and the general public. Derived from renewable energy sources, our colloidal silica has excellent properties and can be widely used in various industries such as catalysts, functional coatings, and precision casting. It is our lifelong pursuit to provide all customers with rich, flexible and stable quality colloidal silica solutions through our silica technology.

Colloidal Silica

Introduction

Colloidal silica is a dispersion of nano-sized silica particles in water or other solvents. According to the different particle size and particle dispersion, our products have two kinds of appearance color: transparent light blue or milky white.

In order to meet the needs of customers, the scientists of Alpha Chem continue to upgrade the preparation process of colloidal silica. Mineral silica is often highly contaminated with various metal ions and is not suitable for colloidal silica applications. Therefore, we choose to produce colloidal silica for scientific and commercial use through various chemical synthesis methods.

Alfa Chemistry's colloidal silica product portfolio covers conventional, large and small particle size, quick-drying, modified, organic solvent-based and non-spherical types. All products are produced in a manufacturing network that meets international quality certifications.

Research and Development

Colloidal silica can be widely used as reinforcing materials in chemical industry, precision casting, textile, oil field, papermaking, paint, food, electronics, medicine and other fields. For example, colloidal silica nanoparticles can reduce the adsorption of surfactants on sand particles and effectively improve oil recovery efficiency; colloidal silica particles can also be used as an alternative catalyst for green energy carriers in H2 generation from the methanolysis of NaBH4.
