Description

The standard gold nanoparticles of 250 nm we offer are suspensions of tiny gold nanoparticles in a liquid medium. One of the most striking features of gold nanoparticles is their vibrant color, which is due to the phenomenon of surface plasmon resonance. This occurs when the electrons on the surface of the nanoparticles oscillate in response to incoming light, giving rise to intense and tunable colors depending on the size and shape of the nanoparticles. Among them, the 250 nm standard gold nanoparticles are pink. In addition, the unique properties of gold nanoparticles, such as their optical, electronic, and catalytic properties, make them extremely versatile materials with potential applications.

Properties

Our 250 nm standard gold nanoparticle preparations have a tight size distribution (CV<8%), excellent protein adsorption abilities and more than 95% spherical particles. And with low batch-to-batch variability (+/- 2nm), you can trust that you'll always receive a product within the specified size range. In addition, each of our batches undergoes rigorous quality control using dynamic light scattering to ensure size and monodispersity, and lot specifications are provided with every product shipment.

Intended Use

The conjugate is formed by passively adsorbing proteins and other ligands to the surface of gold nanoparticles. The resulting conjugate can be used for blotting, electron microscopy and immunohistochemistry applications.

Storage

  • Store the product at 4-25 °C away from direct sunlight. Cooler temperatures extend the shelf life of the product.
  • Do not freeze. Freezing causes irreversible aggregation of the gold nanoparticles.
  • The product is stable for at least six months when stored as specified.
