Overview |
Description |
PEGylation of quantum dots can introduce functional groups such as carboxyl and amino groups on the surface of quantum dots. These functional groups can be further coupled with bioons (proteins, antibodies, nucleic acids, etc.) to obtain biofunctionalized quantum dots. PEGylated quantum dots can also increase the water solubility and stability of quantum dots. In addition, as a new type of fluorescent probe, PEG quantum dots can also effectively reduce the non-specific adsorption of quantum dots to biological tissues or cells. |
