Acidic silica sol is a colloidal solution formed by the uniform diffusion of silica particles in water. The pH is 2-4. It has many excellent properties and characteristics. Ion exchange method is the most mature preparation process for preparing acidic silica sol. This method uses water glass as a raw material and can usually be divided into three steps: preparation of active silicic acid, preparation of alkaline silica sol and cation exchange.
